Who we are

SwarmFall is made and published by Vanilla Gorilla Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12369959). In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Vanilla Gorilla Limited. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What the game stores, and where

To remember how far you've got, SwarmFall saves your progress on your device: the chapters you've reached, your upgrades and materials, your best times and trophies, and your settings, such as music and sound. This is kept in the app's own storage on your phone or tablet.

This information stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. It is deleted if you delete the game, or if you choose "Start again" in the game's settings.

If your device is backed up to iCloud or Google, the game's save may be included in that backup, under Apple's or Google's own terms. We have no access to your backups.

Buying the full game

The first three chapters are free, and the rest can be unlocked with a one-off in-app purchase. That purchase is handled entirely by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, email address, card details or any other payment information.

To know whether to unlock the full game, SwarmFall asks the store on your device whether your account has bought it. This check takes place between the game and Apple or Google, and nothing about it is sent to us. Apple and Google give us sales reports, but these don't identify you.

If you contact us

If you email us for support, we'll receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you, and we don't share it with anyone. We keep the conversation only for as long as we need it to help you, and we'll delete it if you ask us to.

Children

SwarmFall doesn't collect personal data from anyone, of any age. There are no adverts, no chat and no way to share information with other players.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. Because the game itself collects nothing, the only personal data we could hold about you is a support email you've sent us. To make a request, email us at the address below.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how SwarmFall handles data, for example by adding a new feature, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the game.
